How to find government information on                                the government documents web site

                                             See videos on how to do the following:

  • On the Library main page select government documents.
  • Go down to government subject areas and web pages.
  • If you are interested in a subject area select one on the left side of the page. For example, select General Federal for president of the United States.
  • If you are interested in a general search select from the right side.
  • The areas on the right side include:     
  1. The UTPA Library online catalog which contains online links to federal documents
  2. USA. gov  is the federal government official web site. This would be a good place to start searching.
  3.  Check the list below Government Printing online office Access from Budget of the United States, Fy 1996 forward to U. S. Government manual  to find an area of interest then click on Government Printing online office Access to get the information.
  4. Marcive Webdocs is a catalog of U.S. Government Publications from July 1976 to the present.
  5. Osti. gov is a database of the Department of Energy.
  6. Science Accelorator  will seach ten government science databases.
  7. World wide Science icontains national and international science databases from around the world.
  8. Texas State Online Library Catalog is a catalog of documents at Texas State agencies.
