Fines for Special Collections

$1.00 per day

Students, faculty and public patrons may use Special Collection during scheduled hours. Books may be checked out for use outside of the Library if more than one copy (c.2, c.3, etc.) of the item is owned. First or single copies (c.1) do not circulate.  Materials circulate for a two week period and are renewable if not needed by another patron. A fine of $1.00 per day is charged for overdue material. To borrow material from the Collection the user must present a valid UTPA ID or Public Patron card to check out circulating material. Users are responsible for damage to and replacement costs for Collection materials. Materials, when held in duplicate, may also be requested via Interlibrary Loan through other libraries for use in other location.
