Citing Sources

Citing sources can be one of the most difficult parts of finishing a paper. There are numerous citation styles and even variations of citation forms within several of the different styles. The easiest way to overcome this obstacle is to use the citation manual appropriate to your assignment.

Citation manuals can be found throughout the library. The latest editions are located in the reference section under these call numbers:

The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation - KF245.U55 2005 Ready Reference*
Chicago Manual of Style - Z253 .U69 2003 Main Reference Collection
MLA Handbook for Writers of Research Papers - LB2369.G53 2003*
Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (APA Manual) - BF76.7.P83 2001 Ready Reference*
Turabian Style Guide (a variation on the Chicago Manual of Style) - LB2369.T8 2007 Ready Reference*
