| Locating periodical articles in the Library |
| 1. From the Library Catalog ("Find Books and More"), click on the
blue oval labeled "Journal Title". |
| 2. Type in the name of the Journal Title (NOT the article title) in
the text box. |
| 3. Click on "Search". |
| 4. Find the appropriate title (if available) and the appropriate
year of publication. |
| 5. Click on the corresponding entry. |
a. UTPA Holdings mean that UTPA
carries the journal either in print format, bound format, microfiche
format, or microfilm format.
The catalog will tell you the location (floor), the format (see above),
and the Call Number. |
| b. Any other links (other than UTPA
Holdings) indicates that the journal is available full-text from that
link. |
| 6. If the library does not subscribe to the journal, you can
request a copy through Interlibrary Loan at http://lib3.utpa.edu/screens/ill.html. |

The world's largest education index, with more than one million
abstracts of documents and journal articles. ERIC provides primarily
abstracts (summaries) of articles. Occasionally, an ERIC Document or an
ERIC Digest article is available full text. UTPA owns copies of Eric
Documents on Microfiche on the third floor of the library. |
PsycINFO
Covers professional literature in psychology and related disciplines,
including education and sociology, from 1887 to the present. Indexes
and abstracts (summarizes) articles from more than 1,400 journals as
well as English language books and book chapters. Contains some linked
Full-Text. |

Full-Text
Selectively indexes and abstracts (summarizes) articles from more than
400 periodicals. Many articles are available full text. This source
also indexes chapters in books that have been published since
1995. |
