Catalogs Available Through The Internet

  • UTPA Online Catalog The online catalog provides access to the material held at the UTPA Library, including books, media, government documents, and periodical titles.
  • Online and Print Journals lists the journals, newspapers, magazines, and other publications available fulltext from library databases. 
  • Marcive Web DOCS provides a list of documents published by the United States government. After you conduct your search, click on the link to the item you want to get more information and the call number. Then click on the Holdings button to find out which libraries, including UTPA, own that item.
  • Search the Library of Congress collection.
  • OCLC WorldCat has over 40,000,000 records of materials cataloged by OCLC member libraries, including citations to books, journal articles, internet sites, etc.
  • Libweb links to a variety of libraries around the country and around the world.
  • LibDex, the library index, allows you to search thousands of library catalogs individually.
  • lib-web-cats links to library Web pages, online catalogs, and system profiles.
  • The Library of Congress Z39.50 connection to other library catalogs around the country and the world includes business and research institution libraries, as well as university and major public libraries.
  • ingenta (which has replaced Carl UnCover) has millions of citations and abstracts from more than 27,000 journals.
